Please read this statement from Paramount Baptist Church regarding the lawsuit filed July 31, 2007. Thank you.
We’ve just uploaded the sermon audio from Saturday, July 28. Here’s the link to download Darrell’s message “Passion and Permission.”
Or, you can listen to “Passion and Permission” online here.
One of our three core values at EXP is community, and we’re always looking for ways to keep building and emphasizing community among our members. Face-to-face interaction is always preferred, of course, but we don’t want to neglect the benefits of another kind of community: the digital kind.
So we had an idea.
What if we could build a virtual EXP community, where all of us could keep in touch during the week? And what if it was the kind of thing where we broke down the “wall” between the stage and the sanctuary, the leaders and the attenders? What if we could get “the people in the pews” involved in the process of coming up with sermon topics or illustrations, or in putting together worship services? What if you could go home on Saturday night, pull up this blog, and leave feedback about the service? What worked? What didn’t work? What parts did you absolutely love and what do you hope we never do again?
We think that would be cool, so we want to try it. We’re going to begin posting regularly in this space, asking for opinions and sharing ideas. We’ll update you with prayer requests and upcoming events. We’ll ask questions of you and let you ask questions of us. We really, really hope you’ll get involved and comment, because if it’s just Darrell or Kenny or me asking questions out into the void — with no answers — then we’ll just be typing for no reason. (Our offices aren’t that far away from each other.)
So this is our big experiment. Bookmark this site. Subscribe to it. Check it as often as you remember.
Let’s see what happens.
